There’s no doubt that the world of Game of Thrones is much bigger and vaster than what fans have seen. Most of the stories told to viewers take place in Westeros and the areas around it. Even though most of the story takes place in one big place, there are a lot of surprising links between the different characters.
There was a family tie between Daenerys and Jon Snow that changed the whole story, and there are many other surprising ways that characters in the show are linked, such as by marriage or a unique fact or achievement.
Last changed by Jordan Iacobucci on November 20, 2022: Even though Game of Thrones has been over for a long time, that doesn’t mean the series is done for good. House of the Dragon, the new spinoff prequel series, is taking fans by storm. It is giving the franchise a new lease on life and reminding people why they love the world of Westeros. When fantasy fans go back to their favorite world, they will find some surprising connections between some of their favorite characters.
Two of the most important characters in Game of Thrones met for the first time in season 7. Daenerys Targaryen finally got to Westeros, where she met Jon Snow, who would soon become her love interest.
As Jon Snow and Daenerys meet for the first time, fans learn that Jon Snow is actually the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. This means that Jon Snow and Daenerys are related, with Daenerys being Jon’s aunt.
Ser Not only do Jorah Mormont and Shireen Baratheon share a sad death, but Shireen’s is much worse. They are also the only two named characters in the show who have greyscale. They are also the only two people who are known to have survived this horrible disease.
Greyscale is also called Prince Garin’s curse because it hurts and stiffens the skin before killing its host. Shireen got the disease when she was a young girl, but she lived through it. The scars on her face show that she did. Before Samwell Tarly cured him, Jorah got it from the stone men. The disease is a big part of the stories of several characters, including Jorah and Shireen, Samwell, who cures it, and Stannis and his wife, who have to deal with their daughter’s illness.
Even though Edmure Tully (Tobias Menzies), the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce), and Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) have never met on Game of Thrones (Daemon was born more than a century before the other two), they all have a surprising thing in common behind the scenes.
The actors who played these three characters all played Prince Philip in The Crown, an original Netflix show. Matt Smith played the prince for the first two seasons of the show. For seasons 3 and 4, Tobias Menzies took over the role. More recently, Jonathan Pryce took over the role for the fifth season, making him the third actor to play Philip in the Game of Thrones world.
Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen is the main character in the series House of the Dragon, which takes place about 200 years before Game of Thrones. But Rhaenyra is still related to Daenerys Targaryen in a very important way, even though a lot of time has passed between the two shows.
Rhaenyra is Daenerys’s sixth great-grandmother. Her son, Aegon V, started the line that led to the birth of the Dragon Queen more than a hundred years later. So, even though they live in different times, the main characters of these two series are still very close.
The two remaining matriarchs of their families, Cersei Lannister and Lysa Arryn are two of the most unlikable people in Game of Thrones. Even though the main characters have never met, they are all linked by the deaths of their husbands.
Littlefinger told Lysa Arryn to poison her husband, while Cersei, in her usual manipulative and evil way, told Lancel to get Robert drunk during his hunt, knowing that it would kill him. Both of the irritated characters got what they wanted when they killed their husbands, and both of these actions may have been the most important ones that led to the War of the Five Kings.
Tyrion Lannister is the best of a bad bunch in the Lannisters and a fan-favorite main character. Ramsay Bolton, on the other hand, is a horrible bad guy in the show. Still, they have a lot in common because they both hate their fathers very much.
