Will.i.am, Honeywell and Jose Fernandez worked together to make the “Xupermask,” a $300 high-tech face mask with built-in headphones. Everyone was interested in how a famous musician and a SpaceX designer worked together to make a mask with built-in Bluetooth headphones.
High-efficiency particulate air filters (HEPA filters) make sure that the air you breathe is as clean as possible. It also comes with headphones that work with Bluetooth and LED lights that light up in the dark. Costume designer Jose Fernandez came up with this superhero-like design. He also made the spacesuits for SpaceX’s first manned mission and costumes for movies like Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Men in Black.
Fernandez has a lot of experience in the hardware and wearables industries. Working with Will.i.am has led to a product that is strong in both technology and industry.
Will.i.am’s company, i.am+, make “wearable products” and has bought a few tech companies, like smart home company Wink and machine learning startup Sensiya. Will.i.am has been bold with its tech products, like a flashy iPhone camera case in 2012, a smartwatch that was widely reviewed by critics in 2014, and an augmented reality app that made its comic come to life in 2017. Now, he is getting more work experience in the field of medical care technology.
You might think it’s too late for this cutting-edge face mask now that the vaccine is available, new drugs are being made and approved, and the end of COVID-19 is hopefully coming soon.
