Tech Trash can be found in loot boxes and can be made by recycling a lot of different items in the game. There are a lot of items that drop tech trash, but the ones on this list are the only ones that always do. Most of the items are hard to get, but if you can get them, they will be very helpful.

If you don’t know where to look, it can be hard to find tech trash. Having a lot of scraps is a great way to get it. You can buy Auto-turret from the outpost and turn it into tech trash by using the recycle command. It’s not the easiest way, but it does help if you have a lot of scraps.

Many things can be done with tech trash. Tech trash is a very important material that can be used to make everything from high-tech weapons to the wiring for your base. There are only six ways to get tech scrap for sure, and none of them are very hard.

Here are all the guaranteed ways to get tech trash in Rust:

1. Obtained from loot boxes:

Crates are storage boxes that you can find in monuments and other high-level places. You can open it by pressing the Use key, and it usually has a mix of components and mid- and high-level items like weapons, attachments, and rare materials.

Most of the time, the items in these crates are rare than those in red toolboxes and wooden crates. These crates might have about the same amount of loot and items, but they might also have more items than regular crates. It all depends on the crate, but it’s likely that rare crates will have more loot than any other crate.

• If supply falls, there is an 8% chance.

2. Using CCTV cameras again:

Here’s what it gives us:

• 2x Tech Trash
• 2x High-Quality Metal

When powered and connected to a computer station, a CCTV camera can be set to record video and sound. It has a unique ID that lets it connect to a computer station. Once the CCTV camera is powered with 5 rWm, anyone can pair it with their own computer station using the ID. Keep the IDs random, since people can use the IDs of your cameras to keep an eye on your base.

3. Trying to recycle computers:

Here’s what it gives us:

• 3x Tech Trash
• 1x High-Quality Metal
• 50 Metal Fragments

Targeting Computers are pretty hard to find, but they can be used to make auto-turrets or recycle a lot of scraps. If you do find this, you might want to think about selling it because it’s hard to find.

By connecting any available CCTV cameras to the computer station, it can be used for real-time surveillance. It is created using targeting computers. Before you throw away your computer, make sure you don’t want to use it.

4. Using the MLRS Aiming Module again:

6. Recycling Large Rechargeable Battery:

Here are the items it yields:

• 1x Tech Trash
• 5x High-Quality Metal

A Large Rechargeable Battery. Must have a minimum charge of 5 seconds to discharge. Can be wired in series. The charging rate is dependent on power, with a maximum of 80% efficiency. These are only found in high-tier crates and it is another rare item. It is another one of those items that you really need to think about scrapping.
